Cookie Policy

This policy explains how AirportDate (operated by AI Lora) uses cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage), why, and how you can control them. It works alongside our Privacy Policy. We aim to use as few as possible, in the three categories below. Only the first is strictly necessary and always on; the other two run only if you allow them.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser; similar technologies (like your browser's local storage) work the same way. They let a site remember things between pages and visits — for example, that you are signed in, or what language and theme you chose. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles about you.

Necessary

These keep you signed in, protect against fraud and abuse, balance load, and remember your essential choices. The Service cannot function without them, so they have no toggle. They include:

• Authentication session cookies (set by Supabase) — keep you securely signed in.
• ad-cookie-prefs— records your cookie choice on this page, kept for about a year so we don't keep asking.
• ad-locale — remembers your chosen language so the site stays in it.
• A small amount of local storage for your light/dark theme preference and to show the first-visit splash once per session.

Analytics

Anonymous, aggregated usage statistics (via PostHog) that show us what works and what doesn't, so we can improve the Service. No personal data is attached, and nothing in this category is set unless you opt in.

Marketing

Measuring whether our own campaigns bring people to AirportDate. We do not set any marketing cookies today — the category exists so your choice is already recorded if we ever introduce them, and so we never turn them on without your permission.

Third-party processors

Some necessary functionality is provided by the processors named in our Privacy Policy (for example authentication, hosting, payments and error monitoring), which may set their own strictly-necessary cookies to do their job. Optional third-party technologies (analytics) load only after you opt in.

Your choices

Change your mind anytime below — it takes effect immediately, and the same controls appear in the cookie banner on your first visit. If our cookie practices change materially, the banner will ask again. Signed-in users can also manage the analytics permission in Settings → Consents. Depending on where you live, we ask for opt-in consent before setting non-essential cookies; necessary cookies are always required for the site to work.

Controlling cookies in your browser

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and most browsers let you refuse cookies or alert you when one is set. We respect a recognised opt-out where required by law. Note that blocking necessary cookies will break signing in and other core features. Because there is no common industry standard, we do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals, but we honour the consent choices you make here.

This policy may be offered in several languages for convenience; if there is any conflict, the English version governs to the extent the law allows.
